Valencia CF have history of cup turnarounds from 1-0 down
There is a 1-0 deficit for Valencia CF to overcome in their Copa del Rey Quarter Final second leg against Getafe CF, but the team have plenty of precedents to draw upon as they head into Tuesday night's encounter.
There have been a total of 10 occasions in which Valencia CF have turned around a 1-0 first leg result. Should they do so again, they would become the first side to book a place in the semi finals of Spain's top domestic cup competition.
The most recent example of such a fightback was in the 1994/95 season, in which VCF managed a 4-0 win at Mestalla in the return fixture against RCD Mallorca. Other sides to fall victim to a Valencia CF comeback are CD Tenerife (twice), FC Barcelona B, Albacete, Real Sociedad, San Fernando, RCD Espanyol, RC Deportivo and Ceuta.
Valencia CF have already recovered from a first leg loss in this season's Copa del Rey, with a comprehensive victory against Sporting Gijon in the Round of 16.
